Hi! This is the website of Sofoco - Partners for BricsCAD and resellers of some valuable apps that run with BricsCAD
Woodworking Software Solutions (http://www.wss.net.au) is Perth based company specialising in software for design and manufacture of kitchen and wardrobe cabinets.
Their flagship product is '3-D Constructor', which runs in AutoCAD or BricsCAD. 3D Constructor starts with parametric cabinets and generates material takeoffs, cutting lists, CNC programs, everything to complete the manufacture.
To support their users, WSS also sell and support BricsCAD!
Cortex Engineering Software (http://cortexsoftware.com.au/) provide sales, training and support for Intergraph CADWorx plant design software. This is the very best software in its field and Cortex have sold and supported it for some 25 years.
CADWorx traditionally runs on the AutoCAD platform. In April 2017, Intergraph released CADWorx Plant 2017R1 running on BricsCAD or AutoCAD.
Cortex have become a BricsCAD reseller to be able to provide and support the complete solution of BricsCAD+CADWorx.
Civil Survey Solutions (www.civilsurveysolutions.com.au) is the home of two outstanding Australian applications - Civil Site Design, and Stringer Survey.
Civil Site Design provides efficient and simple-to-use design tools for road network design, highways, road reconstruction, site grading, surface creation, stormwater, sewer and pipeline design. Stringer is a tool to convert survey observations into a TIN surface - the basis for civil design.
Cad International (http://www.cad.com.au) aims to provide a broad range of CAD software and applications. It's a one stop shop where a new user can go for advice and the best products for his or her specific requirements.
Cad systems include BricdCAD, AutoCAD, IronCAD, RealCAD etc. Application areas include architecture, Landscape, Product design and many more.
Cad International is led by Nigel Varley, a pioneer in the CAD industry with huge experience. Nigels' team also provides tech support and training.
Sofoco is the Bricsys Partner for Australia. User can buy BricsCAD from the Bricsys e-store, or from Sofoco or from our BricsCAD resellers. Typically, our resellers have special expertise in particular industries or particular software.
A basic universal joint (Hooke joint) allows a rotating shaft to flex, but the output speed is not constant. This can cause vibration and premature failure.
Adding a second Hooke joint can cancel out the effect, creating a Constant Velocity joint. James modelled these joints with BricsCAD Platinum. Again, we had a small lisp program to rotate the shaft, flex the armature and render the model at each position.
We've made a library of Australian ("BHP") Steel Profiles and ASI Standard Connections macros. The library comes as an installer, which puts the different profile and macro files into the correct Parabuild folders.
We'll update this library from time to time, so check back here for the latest version.
When installing the library, choose the main Parabuild folder.
(By default this is on the C drive called Parabuild V3)
AJUST-A-BAR tills the soil, to an adjustable depth or 'aggression'. Most broadacre tillage implements have a fixed depth of cut. Ajustabar can lightly cut stubble or aggressively cut weeds by adjusting the angle of the support arms. The folding mechanism also makes it easy to tow through gates and on roads.
Martin Contracting Pty Ltd in Bungowannah, New South Wales developed the Ajust-a-bar implement. Sarah Boyd modelled the mechanism and created production parts drawings using BricsCAD Platinum. See http://ajustabar.com.au/
Sofoco bought a wooden toy whirligig from Robin Mills of GullyCraft in Maiden Gully, Bendigo - a gift.
The whirligig shows Robin's grandpa endlessly cranking his old Ferguson tractor. All the wooden parts are beautifully made and painted, glued and screwed with stainless screws and running on sealed ball bearings.
